讲座题目: Universal quadratic forms in characteristic 2

内容概述：An integral quadratic form f is called universal if f represents all positive integers over Z. This kind of quadratic forms have been studied extensively by Dickson and his school. Instead of classifying such quadratic forms, Conway and Schneeberger proved that a classical integral positive definite quadratic form f is universal if and only if f represents1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 14, 15. An analogy of Conway and Schneeberger theorem for global function field of odd characteristic has been proposed by Gerstein and proved by Kim-Wang-Xu and Chan-Daniels respectively. In this talk, we give an analogy of Conway and Schneeberger theorem for global function field of characteristic 2. This is a joint work with Yong Hu.

主讲人简历：徐飞，首都师范大学爱情岛论坛 教授，博士生导师，国家杰出青年基金获得者，教育部自然科学一等奖获得者，曾入选国家新世纪百千万人才工程和中科院百人计划。徐飞教授是我国著名代数数论专家，在算术代数几何相关领域做出多项重要工作，并在Duke Mathematical Journal、Journal für die Reine und Angewandte Mathematik (Crelle's Journal)等国际知名数学期刊发表论文40余篇，主持多项国家自然科学基金重点项目和面上项目。
